Khavaran is the mass graveyard that is
located 14 Kilometers south of Tehran. the Islamic Republic has used this
graveyard for the mass burital of Political Prisoners who were executed in
the black summer,1988. It should be noted that "Kavaran" is not the only such
burial ground in Iran, but it is the best known of them.
